It is the oldest building in Tallinn's centre, having stood on the same spot since 1246. Today, the Gothic masterpiece is a monument to the Estonian capital's cultural heritage, and a museum that attracts thousands of visitors each year. It's worth noting, though, that space for tourists is limited to 120 at any time - so it's always advisable to book. You might also be able to get a tour outside normal opening hours, in the evening for example, but contact the monastery via their website first. And, if you find that you fall in love with the place (as well as with a real person), you can book the monastery for weddings too.
