Tallinners are very proud of their Opera House, and there will be an additional reason for savouring the arias in 2006, when the Estonian Opera Company are celebrating their centenary year. Culture vultures can feast on a season packed with classics, such as Mozart's Don Giovanni, as well as several operatic productions of Estonia's finest artists and some scintillating ballets. The Opera House itself is a splendid building, originally built by Finnish architects in 1913 and restored after the war to its former glory. The double-winged giant enjoyed another revamp during 1997-2005 and the chance to see a performance in the refurbished, 700 strong theatre hall shouldn't be missed!
