Scotland Yard

|
There is certainly a lot at work in the fantastic interior of this sprawlingly enormous bar just outside the Old Town. The Scottish pub/Victorian library/Police Station decor is rife with rifles, old hardbacks, newspaper menus, policewomen waitresses replete with handcuffs and pistols, electric chair toilets, a giant fish tank and, of course, tourists. The service, though cheerful, can take a long time due to the immense popularity of the place; in fact, you may have trouble getting a seat. A full range of beer, wine, cocktails and above-average pub food is all reasonably priced. Live music on the weekends keep the Yard at capacity. |
