Hell Hunt website

The name is a bit deceptive for those of us unversed in Estonian: No this is not a death metal or biker bar. Translating in English as 'The Gentle Wolf,' Hell Hunt is the kind of no-nonsense place that is becoming so rare, it's a relief to find. Ideal for having a casual drink with your friends or getting pissed into the wee hours, the open, unpretentious atmosphere pulls in tons of locals and expats alike. Despite changing owners a while back, Hell Hunt maintained its style, clientele and superb kitchen, while continuing to be generally tourist free - due we suppose to the fact that the punters are too lazy to stagger another five minutes when they could just stay at Molly Malone's. Here you'll also find a true Guinness as well as the pub's own brand of light and dark beers. Good and cheap.

Great place to eat and drink. Very GOOD value but watch out for the drunk Finns that come over on the ferry from Helsinki. As the booze is much cheaper in Tallin they get absolutely sloshed. We saw one guy propped up on a stool with a long slippery sliver of drooling fleghm hanging from his chin that almost reached the floor. As each minute that went by he gradually slipped off the stool into a heap in the floor. Fantastic entertainment never to be forgotten. He was eventually led out but kept coming back- great stuff :-)

When we were in Tallinn we found this by accident and went twice, both times were the only tourists in and had a great time. The staff were very friendly and the beers and cider were excellent.

After a week in Tallin, i find this the best bar so far. Superb food, lots of different beer brand`s and a cossy athmosphere.

We had a few drinks here on a Sunday evening in Oct and we were the only tourists. One chap brought his young son in for a snack, others looked looked like local students. No other english speakers but us. Very enjoyable and the food looked great.

Hell Hunt is full to the brim with tourists most nights. There is more English spoken inside than Estonian. It's a great place, but certainly not a non-touristy place like the review says.
