Estonia establishes diplomatic relations with Montenegro
Estonia is the first country that has established diplomatic relations with Montenegro, the Estonian Foreign Ministry said in a statement, AFP reported. Montenegro’s Foreign Minister Miodrag Vlahovic and representative of the Estonian Foreign Ministry Karin Jaani signed a joint communiqué in Podgorica, under which the Baltic and the Balkan state established diplomatic relations.
“Estonia made a historic step becoming the first state that has established diplomatic ties with independent Montenegro”, Vlahovic said. “We will always esteem the gesture of the Estonian government”, he added.
