The American TV Channel 'Discovery Tech' has ranked Tallinn as number one city on the planet for WiFi coverage. Hip hip hooray!
Actually that comes as no surprise to anyone familiar with the capital of this Baltic State, which has been dubbed E-stonia thanks to its forward thinking use of technology. Indeed the Estonian government is the only paperless government in the world.
As well as being able to access WiFi in all but the most backwards bars and restaurants citizens of Tallinn can also access the internet for free in public places around the city, in all the major parks and soon on public transport too. | Source: Tallinn Life | Jul.08.2008 |
