Kaubamaja

|
With a history stretching all the way back to 1960, Tallinn's Kaubamaja store enjoys the same pride of place in the city's heart as Harrods does in London, or Bloomingdales in New York. Something akin then to a national treasure! Attached by a glass walkway to the sprawling Viru Keskus shopping centre, Kaubamaja is an essential point of call for purchasing any of the following: a Villeroy & Boch silver cutlery set (for when the in-laws come round), the season's hottest shirt and slacks (for posing in Tallinn's yacht club), or an unfeasibly snazzy widescreen TV (for impressing the girls you bring back to your bachelor pad).
